Hiking in Cloudland Canyon State Park
Living in Alabama, we are always looking for new hiking trails, especially if they are within a couple of hours drive. While researching, we came across Cloudland Canyon State Park, just across the Georgia line. This park sits on 3,485 acres and is located on the western edge of Lookout Mountain just outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee. This was one of the more strenuous hikes I have done in the short time we have been hiking. Also one of the most rewarding. Driving up the very curvy and extremely steep road to reach this park is no easy feat. Be sure to keep you eyes on the road and off the…

Bronde to Blonde
Once I began getting my hair colored there was no turning back. Being blonde, my salon visits ran fairly high and frequent. I wouldn’t mind if I left the salon LOVING my hair but I always felt like there was something I wasn’t pleased with after forking over $100-$250 per visit every few months. I also wasn’t a fan that my salon charged me extra if my stylist used extra foils or if my hair was longer than a certain length, they tacked on an additional $20 to my visit. Having my hair colored was getting quite pricey and when my normal stylist told me she was moving, I looked…

Great Places to Eat in Boone
We always try to eat at local restaurants while on vacation to try new places and not eat at the typical chain places. North Carolina in general has no shortages of wonderful places to eat and Boone does not disappoint when it comes time to grab a bite to eat. Here are some of our favorite places to eat while in Boone. The Pedalin’ Pig – This is a MUST! The Pedalin’ Pig has all things you would find at a barbecue shack but come on, it’s North Carolina BBQ so it makes it that much better right? We have had the ribs and pulled pork with tons of…

Napa Must Eats
Our first trip to Napa was a little intimidating. We had read some of the best wineries and restaurants, but wouldn’t be able to visit them all. Luckily, I was very fortunate to have a friend give me the “must eats” before I went. Gotts Roadside Diner Gotts Roadside Diner in St. Helena was one recommendation and we absolutely loved it. They serve roadside favorites which are made-to-order using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The menu consists of juicy cheeseburgers, great hot-dogs, incredible onion rings, and hand-spun shakes. They have a nice wine and beer menu as. One thing to note is that outdoor seating is your only option. We loved…

4 Day Royal Caribbean Cruise: Bahamas
I have been fortunate enough to go on one cruise so far in my life. It was on board a Royal Caribbean cruise ship to the Bahamas. It was only 4 days and we departed from Port Canaveral, Florida. I have been on many vacations, with family, with friends, and even a work trip here and there, but never ever have I experienced the relaxation as I did on this cruise. When I travel with family or friends I tend to do a lot of the planning, driving, cooking, etc. This cruise really let me see what a vacation is supposed to feel like. I didn’t have to think, meals…
