Christmas DIY – Adding A Little Cheer to Every Room
I always love this time of the year. The smells, the colors, the food, and most of all the holiday decor! It always seems to make a home cozier. I know that adding a little Christmas something to every room can be a bit pricey so that’s why I have this Christmas DIY that I do every year! We all dream of having Christmas bedding, towels, and decor in every nook of our homes, but that can add up quickly.
My Christmas DIY is super simple and easy on a budget!
Things you need:
- Christmas Tree Trimmings
- Mason jars
- Fresh Cranberries
We got our first real tree a few years ago and when they asked if I wanted the tree trimmings I figured I could come up with something fun to do with them. I cut them to a length I liked, put them in a mason jar with water and added the cranberries! It is so easy! The trimmings will make any room smell like a Christmas tree and BONUS the cranberries don’t ruin or smell bad.
Side note: If you don’t buy a real tree every year which we have opted for this year, you can run by Home Depot and they will give you all the trimmings they have left over for FREE!
My jars and trimmings lasted for about a month, even the cranberries did too! Not sure if them being in water makes them last but they did not ruin or lose their color. I receive so many compliments when we have our family over, it is something that I will continue each holiday season.
