Bronde to Blonde
Once I began getting my hair colored there was no turning back. Being blonde, my salon visits ran fairly high and frequent. I wouldn’t mind if I left the salon LOVING my hair but I always felt like there was something I wasn’t pleased with after forking over $100-$250 per visit every few months. I also wasn’t a fan that my salon charged me extra if my stylist used extra foils or if my hair was longer than a certain length, they tacked on an additional $20 to my visit.
Having my hair colored was getting quite pricey and when my normal stylist told me she was moving, I looked at this as an opportunity to find a new stylist that knew what I wanted. That’s when I found Orbit Salon in downtown Birmingham. I made my appointment with Kaitlin and oh my goodness, she is a hair goddess! I have been going to her for roughly a year now and I have loved absolutely everything about my hair every time I leave. Remember how I said my old salon kept count of the foils? Orbit does nothing of this nature and Kaitlin spent a good 2 hours filling my hair with foils this visit. As you can see she did an absolutely incredible job! The atmosphere of Orbit is so laid back and relaxing, I truly feel like I’ve been to a spa every time I go. I am so thankful to have found this salon and someone who never disappoints in my hair color.

Preservation
There are a few hair products I use to ensure I am getting the most out of my color, and these are my top 4 I use daily.
L’Oreal Paris Hair Care Everpure Sulfate Free Shampoo & Conditioner
I use any of the shampoos or conditioners from the Everpure line because they are all color-safe and sulfate-free. My favorite one right now is the L’Oreal Paris EverPure Sulfate Free Repair and Defend.
it’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In product
This stuff works miracles on my hair, literally. It makes it so soft and offers more than just conditioning which I love. I apply right out of the shower on damp hair before any kind of styling. it’s a 10 has a blonde line, but I didn’t notice a difference when using it so I stuck with the original.
CHI Iron Guard Thermal Protection Spray
I use thermal protection anytime I will be using any kind of heat on my hair. Even if I have a leave-in conditioner that says it offers heat protection as well, I always add an extra layer. I usually use this on dry hair that I will be straightening or curling.
SEXYHAIR Healthy So Touchable Weightless Hairspray
I don’t get too fancy on my hair spray, but I do not like my hair to be stiff in any way. That’s why I like this weightless hairspray by SEXYHAIR. I never go above a 3 hold just to ensure my hair moves when the wind blows 🙂
