Gear Up for Adventure: The Best Hiking Backpacks for Women

Just like getting hiking boots to start out, I knew I needed a hiking backpack as well that would be lightweight and fit my short stature. You never know what situation you may find yourself in while out in nature and I always like to be prepared.

I did quite a bit of research on backpacks before purchasing one. I thought I was settled on the CamelBak Aurora when I came across the Osprey Women’s Tempest 9 Backpack. This pack was absolutely perfect and I LOVED the lifetime warranty that came with it. Osprey offers a lifetime warranty on all their gear and this gives me peace of mind when purchasing! If it ever has any sort of malfunction they will fix it or replace it.

The reason I love this pack so much is that it is made specifically for women. It hugs in all the right places to guarantee a comfortable hike. I love the straps that I can adjust and all the different pockets to store all of my hiking necessities. My favorite pockets are the ones on the hip straps! The pack also has a place for a hydration pack. This is important so you don’t have to carry a bottle of water with you. It is already right there in your pack.

I highly recommend this pack only for day trips and not overnight trips. You will need something much larger for an overnight trip. The Tempest is perfect for water, snacks, first aid kit, keys, a phone, bear spray and other necessities for a day hike.
